I’m Anita Kanal, the founder of Red Thread. I’m a seasoned global marketing leader with a track record for transforming and modernising marketing to drive business growth.

I bring over 20 years of marketing and consulting experience across the marketing ecosystem – at agencies like Dentsu and IPG; in a marketing consultancy; and in-house at Visa and YouTube

I have deep regional APAC and US experience and am highly skilled at working across borders with iconic global clients such as LinkedIn, Gap Inc, Taco Bell, Dell, Intel, Meta, Visa

I’m equally adept at navigating large, matrixed organisations and start-ups in local, regional, and global roles. I believe marketing should be Meaningful, Measurable and Money Making and have consistently delivered against high sales and revenue targets.

For five years at Visa, I lead the Customer, Brand, Media, Creative, and Digital Marketing practices for the APAC region using data and insights across the full-marketing funnel to drive high creative quality, strong business growth, and brand preference.

At YouTube, I led Brand, Social, Creative and Reputation Marketing, across a team of 30+ and reporting to APAC CMO.
